Priorities

God expects us to have priorities. Whatever we do is a function of our priority &of the order of priority. Not much of success can be achieved with wrong priorities.

Priority puts colour into our lives; and so, anyone who has no priority is a colourless person. Such a person is usually one who depends on others to set priorities for himself, like Aaron did in Exodus 32:1-6. So, spend time on what is important, things that are relevant to your objective/goal. Urgent things are not usually important.

Some others have misplaced priorities. They are like Esau whose priority is based on feeling, and like Saul who wanted to satisfy the people’s feelings (Genesis 25:29-34; 1Samuel 15:10- 17). So, don’t let your priority be based on feelings or on satisfying the people. Rather, let your priority be based on objectives; let it be logical and be based on what God wants you to do. Let your eyes be set on His purpose for you; and also rank your priorities according to goals. Focus always on what is important and spend minimum time on urgent things. Set priorities within your priorities; schedule your priorities.

It was because Jesus set priorities for Himself that He got results. He was a Man of “must” cf Luke 12:13-15; John 6:15; Luke 2:49-50; John 4:34; 9:4.Same the early apostles did in Act 6:2-4. So must we do in Kingdom work; then we must give priorities to our family.
