Saturday, May 19th WHAT DO YOU SEE?

MORNING Numbers 13:26-33

What you see in life is very important. The eye, the Bible says, is the light of the body. What you see will go a long way to affect what you do and what you believe. A story is told of two people who were shown a cup with some quantity of water. While one saw a cup that is half-empty, the other saw a cup that is half-full. The ten spies saw themselves as grasshoppers in the sight of the Canaanites while David saw Goliath as an uncircumcised Philistine. As Christians, we are to see through the eyes of God. Choose to see God, good and glory in every situation even though it may not look like it. See the Lord and the power of God at work everytime. Don’t concentrate or waste your time seeing things that will not edify or add to you in any way. To see right is to see through the eyes of faith. The spies who saw themselves as grasshoppers did not enter the promised land but only the two who saw victory through the eyes of faith entered the promised land. Brethren, shine your eyes and see God.

EVENING 2 Corinthians 4:16-18

The Christian life is a walk of faith and not of sight. Sight is a reflection of what you can see or discern with your physical senses while faith is the evidence of things not seen. It may seem ridiculous but keep seeing through the eyes of faith and within a short while you will see the manifestation of those issues. Remember we walk by faith not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

This sunday

Usually, people find it difficult to wait over what they desire from God .But not all prayers are automatic; God may not answer all prayers immediately, or may not even answer at all. That is, waiting is part of Christian life: there are times we have to wait and there are times we will be made to wait for a while. In Daniel 10:12-13, Daniel had to wait for 21 days to get his desire until God sent angel Michael to him. But the consolation is that when we have to wait, our waiting will not be in vain.
